Cutting slate

Michael Rodriguez cuts slate for the roof of the Melville Mausoleum in Oak Hill Cemetery. The slate was originally on the roof of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Grand Rapids. When that roof was replaced the best pieces were saved so they could be used on the Melville Mausoleum. Here Rodriquez cuts the slate so the roof will have a diamond pattern.
