Restoration of the first mausoleum at Oak Hill Cemtery

Work is under way at the Melville Mausoleum in Grand Rapids’ Oak Hill Cemetery. Here in early December a crew from Midtown Craftsmen LLC remove the old slate shingles on the roof of the structure. A grant from the Grand Rapids Community Foundation is paying for the masonry and roof work. These photos and additional photos and videos are part of my Grand Valley State University School of Communications Masters Project on Oak Hill Cemetery.
